Evan Miyazono
Evan is a Research Fellow at Convergent Research, where he focuses on identifying and addressing bottlenecks AI systemic security. He founded Atlas Computing, which has been prototyping mechanisms for improving human review of AI and AI outputs.
Previously, Evan built the research arm at Protocol Labs, including internal research management practices, the research grants program, and a metascience team. He built and ran Network Goods, a venture studio that launched 3 for-profits and 2 non-profits building a composable set of mechanisms for public goods funding. Before that, he received his PhD in Applied Physics from Caltech, where he built was working on an optical quantum memory based on rare earth ions, and his undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford.
He lives in Palo Alto, CA with his wife, their two small children, and their cat, and spends his "free" time reading books, hiking, or trying to make it to a climbing gym.
