Albernel Jones is the Finance and Accounting Manager at Convergent Research, where she oversees the financial operations for a portfolio of Focused Research Organizations (FROs).

With over 25 years of experience, Albernel is a seasoned professional in accounting and information systems. Her background spans tax, audit, fraud prevention, academia, government, nonprofit organizations, grant reporting, and ERP implementations. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management Science from the University of South Carolina and holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Webster University.

Albernel brings a unique perspective to financial operations, blending her expertise in accounting and Management Information Systems with a minor in education. She is known for combining analytical rigor with systems thinking, along with a deep commitment to mentorship, operational integrity, and continuous learning.

Based in Florida, Albernel is also a dedicated volunteer with local nonprofits that raise awareness about breast cancer, as well as organizations focused on strengthening families and providing essential community resources.

Outside of work and service, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, a nuclear pharmacist; their son, who is pursuing a degree in Materials Science Engineering at the University of Central Florida; their teenage daughter, who is focused on Bioscience Technology in high school; and their beloved fur-babies.
